A trace of snow in the woods

This is the most snowless winter that I can remember.  Snowless?  Anyway, whenever we get even a dusting, I feel the need to capture it in pictures because it’s so rare.  If you count this one, we have only had three snowfalls this year.  We usually have snow on the ground most of the winter.  I miss it.

Below is my favorite photo of the day.  The lower portion of the snow clump had frozen.  There was still snow on top of the ice.  And a drip of water waiting to fall from the underside of the branch.  This is a very close-up photo as that is just a tiny drop of water.  What I like about it is that it makes me want to reach into the photo and touch the drip.

Think snow.  Think snow.  Think snow.
